Dr. Autumn Peterson, DMD

Dr. Autumn Peterson brings over a decade of hands-on experience in dentistry, with a career that began as a dental assistant and later as a licensed dental hygienist. Raised near Minocqua in Northern Wisconsin, she grew up working at her family’s small resort and restaurant, where she learned early the value of hard work, adaptability, and building meaningful relationships—principles that continue to shape her approach to patient care today.

Midwestern University

Continuing Education

Her deep clinical foundation and passion for helping others led her to pursue her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Midwestern University, where she graduated in the top 12% of her class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society recognizing excellence in scholarship and character.

At Midwestern, Dr. Peterson had the unique opportunity to treat patients across a wide range of specialties—including endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and periodontics—thanks to the university’s model that allows DMD candidates to take on more advanced cases typically reserved for residents at other schools. This immersive experience helped sharpen her skills in complex procedures and reinforced her belief in delivering comprehensive, compassionate care.

Dr. Peterson's Perspective

Dr. Peterson is deeply committed to building lasting relationships with her patients and creating a space where they feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. As someone who spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a child, she understands firsthand how vulnerable that experience can feel. That early perspective drives her to approach every patient with empathy, clear communication, and a calming presence—ensuring they feel heard, supported, and confident in their care at every visit.

In her free time, Dr. Peterson enjoys soaking up life with her husband, their 8-month-old son Jack, and their golden retriever Archie. She’s all about making the most of every season—whether she’s waterskiing in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, or sneaking in a round of golf with her husband. The two of them love to cook, check out new restaurants, and take long walks—especially now with little Jack along for the adventure. She also enjoys staying active, trying new recipes, and spending quality time with friends and family.
