Dr. Hadley Thurmon is the founder and lead dentist at Alpine Creek Dental in Elmhurst, Illinois. With more than two decades of experience in dental care, Dr. Thurmon brings expertise, compassion, and a patient‑first approach to every smile she treats. She is committed to creating comfortable, personalized experiences that help patients of all ages achieve and maintain optimal oral health.
Dr. Thurmon earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Michigan in 1996, where she balanced rigorous academics with leadership roles in on-campus life. She served as captain of the University of Michigan ski team and participated in intramural activities and sorority life throughout her undergraduate education.
She went on to earn her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in 2000, graduating with honors and receiving the Award for Excellence and Promise in Oral Diagnosis. During dental school, Dr. Thurmon was actively involved in student leadership and community service, representing the American Student Dental Association and participating in the Michigan Taft Society and the Migrant Dentistry Program, where she provided dental care for underserved families.
After dental school, she completed an intensive General Practice Residency at the University of Colorado Health Science Center, where she gained advanced training in a wide range of clinical areas, such as pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, conscious sedation, laser dentistry, prosthodontics, and more.
Dr. Thurmon’s dedication to professional growth continues through ongoing education opportunities, including implant training, advanced laser courses, and comprehensive programs with The Dawson Academy and Spear Study Club. By pursuing dozens of hours of education beyond her university studies, she remains at the forefront of modern dentistry.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Thurmon chose Elmhurst as the ideal place to raise her family and build her practice. In 2015, she acquired Sandell Dental Care and rebranded it as Alpine Creek Dental, a practice focused on delivering high‑quality dentistry with warmth and integrity.
Outside of the office, Dr. Thurmon enjoys spending time with her husband and children, as well as visiting with friends and family. She also enjoys staying active — whether it’s working out on her Peloton, taking a Pure Barre or Orange Theory class, or going for a morning run along the Prairie Path.
